Athlete of the Week, Gage Heyne

The athlete of the week for the week of Oct. 14 is English Valleys runner Gage Heyne.

At the South Iowa Cedar League conference cross country meet Gage Heyne was able to lead the race from the start to the finish. The senior would lead 64 other runners in the race, and finished with a time of 16:37.2, nearly a minute faster than his nearest competitor. 

The win by Heyne helped the English Valleys boys team finish second place in the meet overall.
