The athlete of the week for the week of January 8 is Kennedy Jackson of the Keota Eagles basketball team.
Jackson dropped a season-high 27 points in the Eagles win over the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks on January 5. On top of the big night scoring, Jackson added 11 rebounds and seven steals.
The News-Review would like to congratulate Kennedy Jackson on a spectacular week of play.
