The athlete of the week for the week of April 8 is Solon Yates of the Sigourney Savages boys golf team.
Yates secured medalist honors in the quad with Keota, HLV and Colfax-Mingo at Lagos Acres with a 37 and the matchup against HLV at Sigourney golf course with a 36.
At the Keota 18 hole invitational, Yates placed fourth with a final tally of 77.
The News-Review would like to congratulate Sigourney’s Solon Yates on a spectacular week of play.
