Barbara Jean Moore, 74, died March 22, 2023 at the Mercy Specialty Hospital in Des Moines surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was born January 26, 1949 to Marcella and Junior Galbraith in Sigourney, Iowa. She graduated from Tri- County High School in 1968. Barbara was united in marriage to James P. Moore on September 5, 1970. She worked for the North English Care Center for over 30 years. She could always be found with James wherever the Rock'N Flames or Sundown III bands were playing. More recently, she loved to spend time with her family, watch the variety of birds that visited, and watch Yellowstone.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marcella and Junior Galbraith and her sister Shirley.

She is survived by her husband James P. Moore of What Cheer, her sons Craig (Kim) Moore of Sigourney, Chad Moore of Brooklyn, Cass Moore of What Cheer, grandchildren James Moore, Josephine Moore, Natalie Moore, Abigail Moore and Charlotte Moore, her sister Debbie (Randy) Duncan of What Cheer, niece Andrea Duncan of Jacksonville, Florida and nephew Austin (Morgan) Duncan of Des Moines.
