Basketball Tournament Brackets are ready!

The News-Review is hosting a basketball bracket challenge sponsored by the Copper Lantern in Sigourney. A $25 gift card to The Copper Lantern will be given to the winner of each bracket. It will include one winner of the men’s tournament and one winner of the women’s tournament. Fill out the bracket (s) (men and/or women’s) and turn them into The News-Review before 10 a.m. on Friday, March 19.

A winner will be decided for each tournament. Winners will be determined by the entry which has the national champion for the men’s bracket and women’s bracket.

Tiebreaker in each bracket will be decided by the total number of points scored in the championship game.

If no entry has the national champion, then it goes to the number of correct game picks on the respective bracket.

If there’s a tie with correct picks, the tie will be determined by the entry coming closest to the total number of points scored in the respective championship game.

Employees, contractors or agents of The News-Review and Mid-America Publishing are ineligible to participate in the contest.
