Beverly Heisdorffer

1937-2021

Beverly Ilene Heisdorffer, 83, died Jan. 14, 2021 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. Beverly was born July 21, 1937 to Charles Marshall and Wilda Rae (Johnson) Denny in Sigourney. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1955. After high school she worked at the Keokuk County Extension Office for a short time. On May 3, 1956 she married Kenneth Heisdorffer at the Methodist Church in Sigourney. While Kenneth was in the military, they lived in Texas. They moved back to the Keokuk County area where they and lived and farmed near Delta all their married life. Beverly was a devoted farm wife and a homemaker. She spent her life enjoying and taking care of her family. She enjoyed her cats, canning from her huge garden, working in her flower gardens and was an avid “Elvis” fan.

Those left to mourn her passing are: her husband Kenneth of Delta, daughters Vicky (Steve) Buehneman of Delta; Diana Glandon of Nevada, Iowa; Linda Heisdorffer of Sigourney; Lori (Mike) Hoover of What Cheer, twelve grandchildren Bryan Buehneman; Jenny Shipley; Mitzi Fisch; Jamie Glandon; Rachelle Burk; T.J. Glandon; Adam Bates; Matthew Mullikin; Jeremy Randall; Tim Randall; Cory Randall; and Mikayla Hoover, and 20 great-grandchildren and one great-grandson due in March 2021. We were her world and she was ours. She will be missed and forever in our hearts. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Denny, and two great-grandchildren. 

Funeral Service was held Jan. 19, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Delta Methodist Church, Burial in Garrett Cemetery near Delta. A memorial fund has been established. Arrangements by the Holm Funeral Home.
