Big Win for Little’s Trojans

THORNBURG – The Trojans rode the wave of leading scorer Macy Schmidt’s 13 points in a 43-39 victory –Tri-County’s first win of the season– defending their home court on Monday, Feb. 1.
Despite Melcher-Dallas Saints Kynser and Kasyn Reed scoring 30 points (10/34 from the field and 0/10 from the field respectively) and having a combined 26 rebounds (15 and 11 respectively) the Tri-County Trojans held the Saints to 39 points.
The Trojans trailed 7-6 after the first quarter, tied at 16 at half, trailed 28-27 after the third quarter and won 43-39.
This is Tri-County’s first win since Jan. 9, 2020, when they beat the Twin Cedar Sabers 33-31.
