Carved Wildlife Shown Off in North English

NORTH ENGLISH – Former English Valleys math teacher and hobbyist woodcarver Frank Mertz gave a presentation at the North English History Center on June 30, showing off various wooden wildlife he has carved over the years, explaining how he got interested in woodworking, and discussing the techniques he uses to make carved wildlife. Metz’s impressive carvings can take more than a 100 to finish.
