Dahlstrom and Adam Amazes as Panthers Down Wapello 5-1

PACKWOOD—On June 11, the Pekin Panthers baseball team hosted the Wapello Arrows for an SEISC-North matchup. The Panthers pounced the Arrows by a final score of 5-1.

The Panthers offense was led by freshman Henry Adam, who tallied three RBIs on the night. Henry started things early with an RBI in the first, and knocked in two more in the second inning. He wrapped up the day 2-3 with two doubles and one single. 

Senior Deklan Hampton tallied the other run for the Panthers with an RBI single in the sixth.

Senior Sven Dahlstrom got the start for Pekin. He pitched a complete seven innings with one earned run on three hits and 10 strikeouts.

The Panthers push to 5-4 on the season with a conference record of 4-1. They will return to action with another conference matchup on June 12 against Mediapolis.
