Donald James McMillan, 72 passed away at Davis Center in Bloomfield, Iowa on February 25,

2023 following a lengthy illness. Don was born July 19, 1950 in Sigourney, Ia the son of Charles

McMillan and Joyce Bramble McMillan in Sigourney. He attended Sigourney Schools graduating

in 1969. He worked various odd jobs with his father in his early years, but required care the

remainder of his life. Don loved the outdoors, especially hunting, and trapping. He was a

wrestler for Sigourney High as well, and in later years loved county and rock music.

Survivors include sisters Jennifer Horras of Sigourney, Sue Strobel of Bennington, Nebraska

and brother Clifford (Lilly) McMillan of Emporia, Kansas. He is also survived bvy his step mother

Bonnie (Hixon) McMillan of Junction City, Kansas, and Uncle Russell (Pat) McMillan of Knoxville,

Iowa, as well as many nieces, nephews and step siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larry McMillian and Patrick McMillan,

brother-in-law’s Dan Strobel and Jerome Horras.
