English Valleys Host Golf Tournament

NORTH ENGLISH—On April 14, the English Valleys Bears golf teams hosted an 18 hole golf invitational. The English Valleys boys team finished in first place with an aggregate score of 352.

English Valleys:

For the English Valleys boys, the top four scores of the tournament belonged to them. Eli Marsh rounded the day with the low score of 81, while Gage Hyne was right behind him with an 84. Luke Moore finished in third with a score of 93, and Ty Ayers placed fourth by shooting a 94. The rest of the English Valleys boys finished as follows: Myles Grove-100 and Dominic Garringer-105. 

The English Valleys girls only had two girls come out on the day. Jaidyn Ruggs shot a 116, while Sarah Fredrick finished her round with a 130.

The English Valleys golf team will return to action on April 17 when they host the North Mahaska Warhawks.

Tri-County:

The Tri-County boys team made the trip to North English for the English Valleys invitational. The Trojans did not yield an aggregate score, as they only had three golfers on the day. 

Levi Molyneux shot a 94, which placed him in sixth on the day. Gaige Mercer finished his day with a 115, while Michael Verploeg wrapped up his day with a 137.

The Tri-County Trojans will return to action on April 17, when they host the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks at Sigourney Golf Course.
