English Valleys Hosts Knoll Ridge Invitational
NORTH ENGLISH—On September 17, the English Valleys Bears hosted the 2024 Knoll Ridge Invitational. English Valleys showed out at their hosted event with a first place finish for the girls and a second place finish for the boys.
The English Valleys girls were led by freshman Anna Luers, who cruised to a second place finish.
Fourother Bears earned Top 15 placements: 10th Addison Achenbach, 11th Katelynn Caster, 13th Aubrey Achenbach and 15th Kaylee Frazier.
Lastly for the Bears girls team, Kailor Lown earned an 18th place finish, while Emily Sieren finished in 29th.
The English Valleys boys were once again led by senior Gage Heyne, who breezed his way to a first place finish.
Freshman Isaac Frazier also earned a Top 10 finished, as he crossed the finish line in sixth place.
Fellow freshman Evan Koehn also earned a Top 15 finished, as he placed 11th.
Lastly for the Bears, Jack Osborne and Hunter Offerman finished in 42nd and 43rd with Osborne narrowly edging out Offerman.
The Sigourney Savages girls team impressed despite limited numbers. Freshman Brynna Clarahan put up a personal best time of 22:21.10 as she earned a third place finished.
The Yates sister finished back to back in seventh and eighth. Addison Yates crossed first in seventh with Ellie Yates right behind her.
Cloee Wilson was the last Savage to cross the finish line, as she earned 28th.
For the Sigourney boys, junior Troy Klett cruised to a third place finish.
Levi Myers and Jordan Anderson were the two other runners for the Savages. Myers placed 29th, while Anderson was right behind in 30th.
