English Valleys Softball Get Revenge on Tri-County

NORTH  ENGLISH—On June 16, the English Valleys Bears hosted the Tri-County Trojans for a conference matchup. The Bears enacted revenge for an early season loss at Tri-County with a 10-7 victory over the Trojans.

The game started with the Bears knocking in seven runs in the first two innings. The Trojans tried to mount a comeback in the last three innings, but were unable to dig themselves out of the hole.

The Bears offense was led by Taylor Mikesell, who tallied three RBIs on the day for the Bears. 

Kennedy Axmear got the start for English Valleys, and finished with seven innings pitched, three earned runs on eight hits and eight strikeouts.

The Trojans offense was led by Raegan Molyneux, who knocked in four runners on the day. 

The Bears advance to 11-5 on the season, and will return to action on June 17 for a tournament at Hillcrest Academy high school.

The Trojans fall to 7-7 on the season, and will return to action on June 19, when they host the Iowa Valley Tigers.
