Family Dollar/Dollar Tree Opening in Sigourney

SIGOURNEY – A Family Dollar/Dollar Tree combination store is set to officially open in Sigourney in mid-February, with a soft opening planned for Jan. 25. The store is located at the intersection of Jackson and Main, across the street from the Casey’s. The store’s manager has not been decided yet. Although formerly separate, Family Dollar was bought by Dollar Tree in 2014 and both chains are now managed by the same company. Both stores sell cheap items, but Dollar Tree sells most items for $1.25, while Family Dollar sells items in the $2-$10 range.
