Girls Basketball Mid-Season Review

Sigourney

The Sigourney Savages girls basketball team currently have a record of 6-5, with a conference record of 4-3.

The Savages leading scorer on the season is sophomore Joesphine Moore with 10.5 points per game. Moore also leads the Savages with 7.1 rebounds per game. Senior Rain Barthelman had been the main facilitator for the Savages with 3.1 assists per game.

The Savages return to action on January 3, when they visit the Lynnville-Sully Hawks. 

Keota

The Keota Eagles girls basketball team currently have a record of 3-7, with a conference record of 3-3. 

Sophomore Kimberley Clarahan is the leading scorer for the Eagles with 11 points per game. Clarahan also leads the Eagles in rebounds and assists with 4.4 rebounds per game and 2.4 assists per game. 

The Eagles will kick off their second half of the season by visiting the Montezuma Bravettes on January 3. 

Tri-County

The Tri-County Trojans girls basketball team holds a record of 1-8, with a conference record of 0-6. 

The Trojans leading scorer is senior Delanie Little with 9.4 points per game. Little also leads the team with eight rebounds per game. The main facilitator for the Trojans has been senior Grace Randall with 1.9 assists per game.

The Trojans return to action on January 3, when they host the HLV Warriors. 

English Valleys

The English Valleys Bears concluded their first half of the season with an overall record of 5-3 and a conference record of 3-2.

The Bears leading scorer on the season is junior Delaney Hall with 12 points per game. The Bears leading rebounder is junior Kennedy Axmear with 11.4 rebounds per game. Senior Addy Westfall has been the main facilitator with 3.1 assists per game. 

The Bears will return to action on January 3, when they host the BGM Bears. 

Pekin

The Pekin Panthers wrapped up their first half of the season with an overall record of 1-7 and a conference record of 1-3.

The Panthers leading scorer is senior Emma Phillips with 10.6 points per game. Phillips also leads the team in rebounds per game with 6.6 rebounds per game. Senior Brooke Miller has been the main facilitator for the Panthers with two assists per game. 

The Panthers will kick off the second half of their season by hosting the WACO Warriors on January 6.
