Highway Department Discusses Five-Year Secondary Roads Plan

SIGOURNEY – During the April 8 meeting of the Keokuk County Board of Supervisors, County Engineer Andy McGuire gave the supervisors a five-year plan for road and bridge improvements in the county.

Projects tentatively planned for the next five years include:

-Culvert replacement at multiple locations on v45 from Highway 92 North to Highway 22.

-PCC overlay on Pigeon Road from V44 East to 225th Avenue.

-Bridge rehabilitation on 255th Ave over a tributary of the south fork of the English River.

-RCB replacement on V5G over Richland Creek.

-Bridge replacement on 123rd Street over a tributary of the south fork of the English River.

-PCC overlay on 200th Ave from Highway 149 West for approximately 2 miles.

-Bridge replacement on 328th Ave over the south fork of the English River.

-Bridge replacement on 170th Street over a stream

-Bridge replacement with box culvert on 170th Street over a stream-

-Bridge rehabilitation on 335th Street.

-Bridge replacement on 280th Avenue over a stream.

-Bridge rehabilitation on 210th Street over a tributary of Coal Creek.

-Bridge deck overlay on W15 over Crooked Creel.

-PCC Overlay on V5G from Highway 78 North to just north of 305th Street.

-Bridge rehabilitation on W15 over Richland Creek.

-Bridge replacement on V5G over a stream.

-Bridge replacement on V67 over South Skunk River.

-Bridge replacement on V67 over a small stream.

- RCP and intakes on 270th Ave.

- PCC paving and storm sewer on streets located west of Highway 149 in the Meadowbrook and Aller Subdivision.

-PCC remove and replace on North James Street from Highway 92 North for approximately 900 feet.

-Bridge replacement on 295th Street over a stream.

-Arch replacement on W15 over a small stream.

-HMA overlay on W15 from 277th Street south to the City of Richland.

-PCC overlay on V45 from Highway 92 North to Highway 22.

-DM&E RR grade separation on W15 from just north of 314th Street for approximately 0.6 miles.

-Bridge replacement on 145th Avenue over Cedar Creek.

-Bridge replacement with culvert on 120th Street over a tributary of the south fork of the English River.

-Bridge rehabilitation on 120th Avenue over a tributary of the south fork of the English River.
