Karen Sellers

1941-2022

Karen Marie Sellers, 80, died Feb. 24, 2022, at the Keokuk County Health Center, Sigourney Iowa.

She was born Dec. 17th, 1941, to Mathias and Viola Mallinger in Richland, Iowa. She graduated in

1960 from Ollie High School. She married Paul Sellers on April 7th, 1963, at the Ollie Methodist Church.

She was a Beautician for many years, and worked several jobs including, Keoco Auction, Bonnie’s Diner,

Wal-Mart, Keokuk County Hospital and Sigourney Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening, flowers,

dancing, spoiling her cat Miss Kitty, and attending her children and grandchildren’s sports games and

activities and love seeing her great-grandchildren. She loved Iowa Hawkeyes sports and was a Sigourney

Savage fan.

She is survived by be her children; David Sellers, Alan (Jodee) Sellers, Sherry (Adam) Lutz, all of

Sigourney. Grandchildren Sean (Terra) Sellers, Kelsey Miller (Sam Wieben), Colby (Whitney) Kerkove,

and Krista Sellers. Great-grandchildren, Easton, Ezrah and Eylah Kerkove, Brennex Sellers, and Addilyn

Wieben and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul, and brother, Frank Mallinger.

Visitation was held February 27 Sunday from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. with a funeral service Feb. 28, at 2:00 p.m.. at the Holm Funeral Home.
