Keokuk County Buried In Snow

SIGOURNEY – Central Iowa was hit by heavy snow, which began late at night and continued throughout Feb. 16. The City of Sigourney issued a snow emergency, urging residents to not park on the street so the roads could be cleared. Most Keokuk County received more than eight inches of snow, with Webster, What Cheer, and South English all receiving twelve inches. Area schools closed down on the 16th  and Keota and English Valleys opened late on the 17th.
