KEOTA—On June 14, the Keota Eagles hosted the BGM Bears for a conference matchup. The Eagles snuck past the Bears by a final score of 5-4.

The Bears started the scoring with two runs in the top of the second inning, and the Eagles responded with a run of their own. Both teams added another run in the third, then the Eagles tied the game at three apiece in the bottom of the fourth. This was the first time the game had been tied since the bottom of the first. The Bears retook the lead with one run in the sixth, and the Eagles were up to the challenge. They secured two runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure their first lead of the day. They held onto this lead en route to the 5-4 victory.

The Eagles offense was led by Billie Kindred and Chase Sieren, who both tallied two RBIs on the day. Dalton Dodd also knocked in a runner for the Eagles.

Aidan Anderson got the start, and finished his day with seven innings pitched, three earned runs on four hits and 10 strikeouts.

The Eagles advance to 8-7 on the season, and will return to action on June 16, when they visit the Iowa Valley Tigers.
