KEOTA—On June 9, the Keota Eagles hosted the HLV Warriors for a conference matchup. The Eagles snuck past the Warriors by a final score of 2-1.

The game stayed in a stalemate until the Eagles broke the tie in the third. The Warriors tied the game up at one apiece in the top of the sixth. The Eagles quickly broke the tie in the bottom of the sixth to secure the 2-1 lead.

The two runs from the Eagles came from the bats of Billie Kindred and Aiden McGuire.

Kindred also got the start from the bump, and finished his day with six innings pitched and no earned runs on five hits. McGuire came in the top of the seventh, and secured the save with no earned runs on one hit and a strikeout.

The Eagles push to 8-6 on the season, and will return to action on June 12, when they visit the Lynnville-Sully Hawks.
