Keota Boys Track Team Participates in Belle Plaine Meet

BELLE PLAINE—On March 30, the Keota Eagles boys track team traveled to Belle Plaine high school for a meet. The Eagles finished in seventh in the Class B division with an aggregate score of 19 points.

For the team events, the Eagles placed fifth in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 50.90. The 4x100 meter relay team is made up of Chase Sieren, Aiden McGuire, Jacob Libe and Ashton Thomas. 

The Eagles finished in fourth in the 800 sprint medley relay with a time of 1:50.27. The Keota 800 sprint medley relay team is made up of Chase Sieren, Evan Vittetoe, Dalton Dodd and Luke Moeller. 

For the individual events, Dalton Dodd placed fourth in the 400 meter dash with a final time of 1:00.36. 

In the 400 meter hurdles, Dalton Dodd and Jacob Libe finished fifth and sixth. Dodd placed fifth with a time of 1:10.49, while Libe finished in sixth with a time of 1:11.32. 

Lastly for the individual events, Jax Weber placed eighth in the shot put event with a longest throw recorded at 32-06.50.

The Eagles boys track team will return to action on April 3, when they travel to Lone Tree high school for a meet.
