KEOTA - Playing four games in six days isn’t easy.

For the Keota girls basketball team they seemed to make it look pretty easy as they were able to win three of their four contests last week.

Keota started the busy week on Jan. 13 when they hosted BGM. Despite a close second half, Keota was able to win that game 49-40.

The Eagles built up an 11-point lead at halftime and only seemed to build from there. As they were able to maintain the advantage throughout the second half.

Cameron Haifley led the scoring effort with 21 points in the victory. Emily Conger scored eight points while Kimberly Clarahan scored six points.

Kennedy Jackson scored five points and Grace Conger finished with four points in the win.

Thursday night the Eagles were able to win a non-conference game against Moulton-Udell, 55-13.

Keota’s defense shut down the offense of Moulton-Udell, as they limited them to just five points in the first half.

Emily Conger led Keota in scoring with 13 points. Cameron Haifley and Karley Greiner scored 11 points each in the lopsided win. Kimberly Clarhan scored seven points. Kennedy Jackson finished with six points.

Ava Greiner scored three points. Grace Conger added two points. Elyse Lyle added another two points.

Saturday, the Eagles were able to win their third game of the week with a 46-38 win over Moravia.

After being out-scored 10-9 in the first quarter, Keota held Moravia to five points in the second quarter to take a 20-15 lead at halftime.

The lead stayed at five points after the third quarter. Keota was able to pull farther ahead with 15 points scored in the final quarter to secure the win.

Cameron Haifley led the scoring with 17 points. Emily Conger scored nine points. Kimberly Clarhan finished with eight points. Elyse Lyle scored seven points. Another five points were added by Kennedy Jackson.
