The Keota Historical Museum is pleased to announce that Jacque Singmaster Murphy of Des Moines has come forward and donated the deposit to restore the last remaining stained glass window from the Methodist Church.   When the church closed in 1997 the windows were installed in the United Church of Faith.  This window wasn’t needed for the project and was stored in various places over the years.  The window was presented to the museum this fall.  It is in need of re-leading and in order for it to fit in our present museum the air vent at the bottom of the window will need to be removed.  This vent will be in a separate box for display over the entrance to the museum.  The main window will have a light box and base for display in front of the windows toward Fulton Street.

The Keota Historical Museum is located in the new Keota City Hall at 225 E. Broadway.  Watch Facebook for times that the museum will be open to the public.
