Local Salon Gets New Name, New Location

SIGOURNEY – Sam Moore, who previously ran Moore Hair Design on Jefferson Street in Sigourney, has relocated to a smaller location located in the back of 120 East Washington Street, the same building as the News-Review. The new salon can be accessed by a door on the north side of the building. Moore, who has been doing hair work in Sigourney since 2012, has renamed the salon to The Beauty Bar. “I kinda did a new location, new name, new year, starting fresh,” said Moore.

The Beauty Bar opened its doors on Jan. 2. The salon will do hair cuts, coloring, and eyebrow waxing and serves women, men and children. It will be open Tuesday-Friday, with specials for weddings and proms on weekends. Moore can be contacted at 641-224-2828.
