Third State Appearance

Coach Sattz on Mason Moore: Mason left it all out on the course today. Being projected to go 13th in a qualifier that had the top 10 advancing to state, Mason battled adversity to capture his 3rd straight state title appearance. To say I'm proud of Mason is an understatement. He has led our program since his sophomore year and has been a role model to our younger student-athletes. Most humble dude I know and is a pleasure to work with everyday. Looking forward to seeing him dominate at Fort Dodge next Saturday!

Going into the state meet we knew we had a great chance to advance.  With the number one team Regina coming we knew we had to run our best to win.  The girls wanted to win on their course and give them momentum going into the state meet.  With the temperature 87 degrees the heat had a toll on many of the runners.  The girls times were not the best, the course was slow, but they did compete about as hard as they ever did.

Second State Appearance

At the start of the meet we knew it would be a two team race between Valley Lutheran and us.  At the 1.5 mile mark we were in third place.  Then Jaedon and Isaac turned it on and we won by about 20 points over Columbus.  Brady had some breathing problems but rebounded the last 800 to get second.  Zach ran his best of the year placing fourth. Good team effort from both teams.
