Mark Greenlee

1951-2022

North English- Mark Glenn Greenlee was born Nov. 24, 1951 in Sigourney, the son of Glenn and Thelma (Kelley) Greenlee. He graduated from English Valley High School in 1970. He was drafted and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. On July 18, 1972 Mark was united in marriage to Charline Elaine Allen in South English. He worked as a truck driver for Swift and in the plant at Amana Refrigeration. He enjoyed fishing, riding Harleys, racing dirt track cars and watching NASCAR, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and Walker Texas Ranger. Mark died on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 at the English Valley Care Center, in North English, at the age of 70 years.

He is survived by his son Richard (Danielle) Greenlee and Patricia (David) Moxley all of North English; five grandchildren Colton (Alysha) Greenlee, Devin and Rayna Greenlee, Anthony (Ily) Moxley and Rusty Moxley; a great grandson Lukas Young; and a sister-in-law Kathy Greenlee of North English. He was preceded by his parents, wife Charline and a brother Alan Greenlee.

Celebration Of Life Service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial was in the North English Cemetery.
