Marty W. Ingle

1962-2022

Marty W. Ingle, age 59, of Eddyville, Iowa, passed away on April 18, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born on July 17, 1962, in Ollie, Iowa, the son of Leland “Dale” and Evelyn Ruth (Shipley) Ingle. He attended Pekin High School and graduated with the Class of 1982. He later furthered his education and earned a degree from Indian Hills Community College in 1993.

Marty worked for IBM doing computer maintenance until going to work for R. E. Trucking Inc. in Bussey, Iowa. He continued working there until ill health made him unable to keep working. He was a member of District 14 ABATE Iowa and taught motorcycle driving courses. He enjoyed fishing, camping and mushroom hunting. Above all else, Marty had a love for riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his children, Ashley Ingle of Eldon and her children Kelsey and Lewis, Cody (Miranda) Ingle of Ottumwa and their children and Karolyn Ingle of Davenport and her son; a brother, Jim (Ruth) Ingle of Des Moines; two nephews, Cory (Shawna) Ingle of Ollie and Jason (Lindsey) Ingle of Kansas City, MO; a niece, Reagan Ingle of Des Moines; a sister-in-law, Dondra Ingle; and his girlfriend, Sissy Schaefer

Marty was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Ingle.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont. Burial will follow services in the Rock Creek Cemetery in Ollie. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 21, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the family present to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the family.
