Mason Moore of Sigourney and Bryson Grove of English Valleys Compete at State XC Meet

Sigourney and English Valleys both sent a single runner to the 1A Cross Country State Meet in Fort Dodge.

 

Mason Moore for the Sigourney Savages and Bryson Grove of English Valleys got to enjoy windy and sunny weather, as well as temperatures in the 40s at Kennedy Park.

 

Coach Saatz on Sigourney runner Mason Moore who ran a 19:48.4 at the State Meet:

 

“This weekend capped off an exceptional HS career for senior Mason Moore. To be able to qualify for 3 consecu- tive state meets is impressive, but what really stood out to me was his work ethic and desire to improve throughout the year to get to that point. This young man has a bright future ahead of him and can’t wait to hear about all his successes in life. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach him this year and am looking forward to developing the next generation of state contenders for Sigourney XC”

 

Bryson Grove ran a 17:33.6, which was the junior’s sixth fastest time for the 2020 season.

 

“He ran a very strong race did and did an excellent job staying with the top runners and finished the season strong. We’re very proud of him,”
