Moore Mashes and Keeps Batters Missing

SIGOURNEY—The Sigourney Savages hosted the Keota Eagles on June 19 for a conference matchup. The Savages handled the Eagles by a final score of 18-0.

Josephine Moore got the start on the bump for the Savages, and secured a three inning perfect game with six strikeouts.

Moore also was one of three Savages to tally three RBIs on the day. Amiya Smallwood and Carly Goodwin were the other two. Rain Barthelman, Kenzi VanDenHueval and Erin Dawson also secured two RBIs apiece. In total, the Savages had nine athletes with a run batted in.

The Savages push to 17-2 on the season, and will return to action on June 20, when they host the Wilton Beavers.

The Eagles fall to 0-14 on the season, and will return to action on June 21, when they host the Tri-County Trojans.
