KEOTA—On June 17, the #3 ranked Sigourney Savages made the trip to Keota for a conference matchup against the Eagles. Sigourney secured the victory over Keota by a final score of 17-0.

The Sigourney offense proved potent once again with four athletes tallying double digits. Junior Josephine Moore led the charge with three RBIs. She smashed two home runs for her two hits, one a solo shot and the other a two-run bomb. Moore has mashed eight total home runs, which is tied for the third most in Class 1A.

Seniors Amiya Smallwood, Erin Dawson and Ava Fineran all secured two RBIs apiece as well in the Savages offensive onslaught.

Not only did junior Josephine Moore shine at the plate, she shoved on the mound. She allowed only one hit in four innings pitched, and struck out 12 of the 15 total batters faced.

The Savages push to 14-5 on the season, and will return to action on June 19 for a matchup of the top two conference teams when they visit the English Valleys Bears.
