NORTH ENGLISH – A box containing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been installed at the North English City Hall, located at 200 South Main Street. AEDs can be used to re-establish an effective rhythm in those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. The medical box, which was given by the Iowa County Health Department and Iowa County EMS and obtained via a state Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant, also contains narcan, a medicine that can be used to reverse an opioid overdose, and a Stop the Bleed kit. To access the box in the event of the emergency, call 911 for the opening code.
