North Mahaska Girls Take Care of Business at Keota

KEOTA—The Keota Eagles girls basketball team hosted the sixth ranked North Mashka team on January 10 for a South Iowa Cedar league matchup. The Warhawks defeated the Eagles by a final score of 55-27. 

The first quarter started with a hard fought battle that resulted in a 7-6 Warhawk lead. The Warhawks came storming out in the second quarter to the tune of out-scoring the Eagles 19-5 to secure a 26-11 lead at halftime. The Warhawks kept up the momentum in the second half en route to a 55-27 victory over the Eagles. 

The Eagles leading scorer on the night was sophomore Grace Conger with eights points. Sophomore Kimberly Clarahan was the main facilitator for the Eagles with five assists.

The Eagles fall to 4-9 on the season, with a conference record of 4-5. They will return to action on January 12, when they host the English Valleys Bears.
