North Mahaska Hosts Golf Invitational

NEW SHARON—On May 4, the North Mahaska Warhawks hosted a golf invitational, and the Keota Eagles and Tri-County Trojans participated. The Eagles placed second with an aggregate score of 171, while the Trojans finished in fifth with a team score of 221. 

Cole Kindred was the runner-up on the day with a final tally of 38. Carsin Kindred tied for ninth with a final round score of 43. The rest of the Eagles finished as follows: T-14: Caden Sprouse and Sawyer-45 and T-20: Billie Kindred and Aidan Anderson-49.

Levi Molynuex of Tri-County ended his day tied for ninth with a score of 43. The rest of the Trojans finished as follows: 23: Jayden Smith-52, 26: Gaige Mercer- 55 and 28: Michael VerPloeg- 71.  

Both the Eagles and the Trojans will head to Elmhurst Country Club in Oskaloosa on May 8 for the boys SICL tournament. The Eagles will also have their district qualifying meet on May 10 at Prairie Knolls in New Sharon, while the Trojans will be at Knoll Ridge in North English. Both meets will begin at 10 a.m.
