HIGHLAND—One week after being beaten for the first time all season, the Pekin Panthers bounced back with a 63-13 rout of the Highland Huskies.

The Panthers offense once again found their foundation in the running game with 239 total rushing yards. Junior Nolan Glick led the charge with 102 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 total rushes.

Three other Panthers added passing touchdowns in the game: Riley Smith, Will Adam and Landon Crow.

The strong rushing attack opened up the passing lanes for the Panthers, as quarterback Will Adam threw for 152 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Robert Brown average over 20 yards per catch on the night with three catches for 61 yards and a touchdown. Alijah Brock caught the other touchdown, as he finished his night with four catch fr 43 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, the Panthers were wreaking havoc on the pass game from the front four, as they sacked the Husky quarterback four times. Senior Alton Williams led the charge with two sacks on the night, while Levyn Castellano and Caden Bender tallied one apiece as well.

The Panthers push to 5-1 on the season, and will return to action on October 11, when they host the Wapello Arrows for senior night.
