Roger Keith Heisdorffer, 83

We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2024, at the age of 83, Roger Keith Heisdorffer of Taylor, Arizona, born in Sigourney, Iowa, passed away.

Roger was born and raised on his family farm north of Sigourney, Iowa. He started flying airplanes when he was twenty years old, and it quickly became his passion. He continued this passion of flying airplanes for sixty years. He spent many hours building airplanes for himself and others. He was the go to guy if they ever had airplane questions. He also had an interest in firearms and loved to shoot. He worked as an electrician, owned a motor rewind shop and a parts store. Roger married Sue Eastburn in 1959 and they had one daughter, Joyce. They later divorced but remained lifelong friends. He loved his daughter and his grandchildren more than we may know.

He is survived by his daughter Joyce Ann Cabor; his grandchildren Trisha (Nolan) Brimhall, Jason Rollins and Brian Rollins; his great grandchildren, Makay (Brennen) Beatty, Ian Brimhall, Dune Brimhall, Qiana Rollins, Deacon Rollins, Jayden Maxwell, Camryn Maxwell, Shayne Rollins and Arianna Rollins; and his brother Leland (Bonnie) Heisdorffer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edythe Lucille McConnell and Albert Nicholas Heisdorffer; his brothers, Kenneth Heisdorffer and David Heisdorffer; and his grandson Nicholas Rollins.

A missing man formation will be flown by Rogers’ friends and fellow pilots on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
