S-K Soccer Season Ends

SIGOURNEY – After their first-round win, the Sigourney-Keota high school soccer team went into the second round of district playoffs on May 22 as they met West Branch in Iowa City. The second-year varsity S-K team couldn’t muster an attack game and fell to West Branch 6-0, putting an end to their historic season. “The program took some major strides from where we were last year. Last year we struggled to compete in most games and now we have a winning record.” said head coach Dillon Maass. “We got big contributions from new players and our returners took big steps forward as players. The goal now is to continue to be a competitive team in SE Iowa.”
