SIGOURNEY—On June 9, the Sigourney Savages hosted the BGM Bears for a conference matchup. The Savages defeated the Bears by a final score of 10-0. The Savages pushed their conference record to 9-0 on the season.

The Savages jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the first inning of play. They added two more in the fifth en route to the 10-0 victory.

The Savage offense had three separate athletes knock in two runners on the day: Carly Goodwin, Courtney Hemsley and Amiya Smallwood.

Josephine Moore got the start from the bump, and finished her day with five innings pitched, no earned runs and eight strikeouts. Moore keeps her ERA on the season at 0.00, while lowering her opponent batting average to 0.074. Through her three starts, Moore has only given up four hits.

The Savages advance to 10-2 on the season, and will return to action on June 12, when they visit the HLV Warriors.
