Sigourney’s Caden Clarahan Named to the Class 1A Southeast First All-District Team
Sophomore pitcher Caden Clarahan made the transfer to Sigourney high school this past year, and made an immediate impact for the Savage baseball program. Clarhan was selected to the Class 1A Southeast first All-District team as a pitcher with 57 innings pitched, an ERA of 1.47 and 87 strikeouts. From behind the plate, Clarahan had a batting average of 0.486 and 30 runs batted in.
Clarahan immediately helped bolster a Sigourney lineup that lost six seniors to graduation from the year before. In his first season with the Savages, Clarahan finished in the top five if 11 separate statistics in the SICL conference: 1st in home runs with six, third highest batting average at 0.486, fourth most RBIs with 30, second most wins as a pitcher with seven, fourth most strikeouts as a pitcher with 87, tied for third most hits as a batter with 35, third most total bases tallied with 62, second highest on base percentage with a .620, second highest slugging percentage at 0.861 and the most walks drawn with 23.
Clarahan will look to replicate an outstanding first season with the Savages, when he returns for his junior year.
