Sigourney Boys Participate in Puritan Relays at Pekin

PACKWOOD—The Sigourney Savages boys track team participated in Pekin’s Ruritan Relays on March 27. The Savages finished in ninth with an aggregate score of 22.

For the team events,  the Savages placed sixth in the 4x100 meter relay with a final time of 49.99. The 4x100 meter relay team is made up of Brady Clark, Peyton Leathers, Jake Moore and Colt Reed. 

In the 4x200 meter relay, the Savages also finished in sixth with a time of 1:46.33. The 4x200 team consists of Peyton Leathers, Caden Clarahan, Dylan Weber and Owen Menke. 

The Savages took home fourth in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:13.92. The 4x800 team is made up of Landon Crow, Dylan Weber, Braydon Wood and Wyatt Wehr.

They also placed fourth in the distance medley with a time of 4:15.06. The distance medley team is made up of Brady Clark, Jake Moore, Colt Reed and Troy Klett. 

Lastly for the team events, the Savages finished in seventh in the boys 800 sprint medley with a time of 1:49.65. The 800 sprint medley team consists of Brady Clark, Peyton Leathers, Jake Moore and Colt Reed. 

For individual events, Troy Klett took home fourth place in the 3200 meter run with a final time of 11:22.19. Klett finished in third in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:19.12. 

Caden Clarahan finished in sixth place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.40. Peyton Leathers also placed eight in the same event with a final time of 12.58.

In the 200 meter dash, Colt Reed placed 10th with a time of 25.39, while Caden Clarahan finished in 14th with a time of 26.15.

In the 400 meter dash, Braydon Wood placed seventh with a time of 1:02.21, while Wyatt Wehr finished in 14th with a final time of 1:04.44

Landon Crow finished the 800 meter run in seventh place with a time of 2:30.97. Braydon Wood placed 12th in the same event with a time of 2:42.77.

 In the shot put event, Jayden Thomspon placed sixth with a longest throw recorded at 36-07.00. Owen Menke also placed 12th in the same event with a longest throw of 31-06.00.

Ashton Schwab and Brock Alderson placed ninth and 10th in the discus throw. Schwab took home ninth with a longest throw recorded at 91-06, while Alderson finished in 10th with a longest throw of 90-04. 

The Savages boys track team will return to action on March 30, when they participate in the Belle Plaine meet.
