Sigourney Secures Conference Win Over Colfax-Mingo

COLFAX—On October 3, the Sigourney Savages volleyball team made the trip to Colfax for a conference matchup against the Tigerhawks. The Savages secured the 3-1 set victory by scores of 23-25, 27-25, 25-13 and 25-22.

The Savage offense was led by seniors Reagan Clarahan and Josephine Moore. Clarahan clobbered a team high 14 kills, while Moore had 13 of her own. Moore also served up seven aces in 20 service attempts.

On the other side of the set, senior Taylor Rozenboom played the main facilitator with 14 assists, while sophomore Bailey Getter had 12 of her own.

The Savages push to 12-4 on the season with a conference record of 4-1. They currently sit in second on the SICL-East standings. They will return to action on October 7, when they host the HLV/TC Warriors.
