Sigourney Takes Down Tri-County

SIGOURNEY—On June 23, the Sigourney Savages hosted the Tri-County Trojans for a conference matchup. The Savages stormed past the Trojans by a final score of 12-0.
All 12 runs for the Savages were scored in the first inning. Erin Dawson led the Savages with four runners batted in. Caryl Goodwin also tallied three RBIs on the day. Kenzi VanDenHueval also added two more for the Savages.
Carly Goodwin pitched a three inning perfect game in which she struck out eight of the ten opposing batters.
The Savages advance to 18-4 on the season, and will return to action on June 26, when they visit the Iowa Valley Tigers.
