SK Boys Wrestling Beats Lynnville-Sully, Falls to BGM in Home Dual

SIGOURNEY—On January 11, the SK Cobras wrestling team hosted a home dual with BGM and Lynnville-Sully. The Cobras defeated the Hawks by a final score of 48-17, but fell to the Bears by a final tally of 54-24.

In the match against the Hawks, the Cobras earned 42 points via bye, and Jake Moore secured the sole pin for the Cobras. Moore took down Wyatt Mathis of Lynnville-Sully in a spectacular 36 seconds. 

In the matchup against BGM, Brady Clark and Jacob Libe secured the two Cobra pins. Clark pinned Preston Mann of BGM in 1:17, while Libe earned his pin over BGM’s Ashton Kailnay in 1:32.

The Cobras will return to action on January 18, when they head to HLV high school for a dual with HLV and Belle Plaine.
