Successful Homecoming in Sigourney as Cobras Roll to 48-0 Halftime Lead, Win 48-13

The Warriors, who received the opening kick, would fumble on the first play from scrimmage, led to a Brady Duwa score for the Cobras seventeen seconds into the game. Duwa would score three game minutes later followed by another Duwa touchdown, this one on a punt return.
 
“We came out with good focus tonight with it being Homecoming week, we played very well,” Coach Jensen said.
 
Sam Sieren converted on the two-point conversion and the Cobras were up 21-0. The Cobras would have two more touchdowns in the first quarter to go up 35-0 after one quarter.
To open the second quarter, a 34-yard touchdown pass was completed to Duwa and then a 12-yard right side sweep by Ethan Shifflet with 0:05.5 seconds in the first half added to the total.
 
“We have guys throw we have guys that can catch, Cade and Colton in the backfield to throw the ball. Brady and Wyatt can catch the ball, our O-Line is doing better in pass blocking too,” Jensen said.
 
The ensuing PAT failed and that would be all the scoring for the Cobras on the night, 48-0 was the score line.
 
After the marching band played songs from Katy Perry and Rachel Platten, the Cobra defense held the Warriors scoreless until the 8:17 and 3:37 marks in the fourth quarter when VBC had two rushing
touchdowns.
 
One by Preston Buss and one by Cayden Summers for the Warriors.
