Tri-County Basketball Mid-Season Recap

Tri-County’s Ayla Hall now averages 9.3 points per game for the HLV Warriors

The Tri-County Trojans were unable to yield a girls basketball game, so a group of girls joined the HLV Warriors girls basketball teams. These players included Ayla Hall, Emery Hall, Aaliyah Cooper and Sienna Molyneux.

Junior Ayla Hall has been a star for the Warriors, as she averages 9.3 points, 3.8 assists, 3 rebounds and 6.2 steals. Her 6.2 steals per game is the six most pockets picked per game in the entire state of Iowa regardless of class.

Fellow junior Aaliyah Cooper has also been an impact player for the Warriors, as she has averaged 5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

The boys team has still been unable to mark a tally in the win column, but there are bright spots for this Trojans team.

Freshman Sean McCulloch has stepped up as starter, and has been averaging 8.8 points, 0.7 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.

The only returning starter from last year, junior Levi Molyneux, has averaged 9.1 points, 2.2 assists, 4 rebounds and 2.1 steals.

The HLV Warriors girls basketball team returns to action on January 9, when they visit the Belle Plaine Plainsmen.

The Tri-County boys basketball team will return to action on January 4, when they visit the Twin Cedars Sabers.
