Tri-County Girls Top Moulton-Udell On Senior Night
THORNBURG—The Tri-County Trojans hosted the Moulton-Udell Eagles on February 6 for a non conference matchup. The Trojans took down the Eagles by a final score of 48-26.
Before the game, the Trojans celebrated the careers of seniors Tessa Fisher, Alyssa Conrad, Delanie Little, Sadie McKain, Grayce Williams and Grace Randall.
After a quarter of play, the Trojans secured a 9-4 lead. The highlight of the second quarter was when the Trojans commenced the quarter by jolting out to a 10-0 run. By the conclusion of the first half, the Trojans pushed their lead to 23-9. The Trojans went on to out-score the Eagles 25-21 en route to the 48-26 victory.
Senior Delanie Little put on a show for the home crowd, as she finished with a double double that consisted of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Ayla Hall was also making plays all over the court as she concluded her night with 13 points, six rebounds, six assists, and seven steals.
The Trojans finish up their regular season with a record of 4-17, and a conference record of 1-14. They will return to action on February 9, when they visit the North Mahaska Warhawks for the first round of the 1A-Region 8 bracket.
