Tri-County Track Treks to Cardinal for Bob Gerard Relays

ASHLAND—On April 28, the Tri-County track teams made the trip to Cardinal high school for the Bob Gerard Relays. The girls finished in fifth place with an aggregate score of 57, while the boys placed seventh with a score of 10.

Girls:

For the team events, the Trojans placed fifth in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 57.45. The 4x100 team consisted of Lily Randall, Peyton Icenbice, Jordyn Hughes and Grace Randall.

The 4x400 meter relay team was the first team to cross the finish line with a time of 4:56.04. The Trojan’s 4x400 team was made up of Grayce Williams, Sadie McKain, Gabby Bunker and Ayla Hall.

In the sprint medley, the Trojans were the second team to cross the finish line with a time of 2:03.98. The sprint medley team included Ayla Hall, Grace Randall, Lily Randall and Aaliyah Cooper. 

Lastly for the team events, the Trojans secured second in the distance medley with a time of 4:53.24. The distance medley team consisted of Lily Randall, Grace Randall, Grayce Williams and Aaliyah Cooper.

For the individual events, Jordyn Hughes placed ninth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.74. 

Sadie McKain finished in seventh in the 200 meter dash with a final time of 30.77. McKain also was the fourth runner to cross the finish line in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:09.27.

In the 400 meter hurdles, Aaliyah Cooper secured the gold for the Trojans with a time of 1:13.55.

Lily Randall placed third in the long jump event with a longest jump recorded at 14-07. Gabby Bunker also placed seventh in the same event with a longest leap recorded at 13-02.50.

Lastly for the team events, Peyton Icenbice placed fifth in the shot put event and sixth in the discus event. She recorded a shot put throw of 29-00.00, and a discus hurl of 82-06.

Boys:

For the team events, the Trojans placed fifth in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 51.92. The 4x100 team consisted of David Gillam, Boston Roorda, Keagan MacCready and Drew Fisher.

The Trojans also finished in sixth in the sprint medley with a time of 1:52.62. The sprint medley team included Drew Fisher, Keagan MacCready, David Gillam and Boston Roorda. 

Lastly for the team events, the Trojans were the fourth team to cross the finish line in the distance medley. The distance medley team was made up of Drew Fisher, Keagan MacCready, David Gillam and Boston Roorda.

For the individual events, David Gillam secured fifth place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.57. 

The Trojans will return to action on May 2, when they visit BGM high school for a SICL Co-Ed meet.
