WHAT CHEER – A tribute to rock legend Roy Orbison was performed at the What Cheer Opera House by traveling musician David K. and his band, on the evening of Mar. 17. David K. performed classic Orbison songs like “In Dreams,” “Ooby Dooby,” “Crying,” “Blue Bayou,” “Pretty Woman,” and “End of the Line,” as well as several original songs in the style of Orbison from his album “Lonely Blue Dreams.” The bar Grant Ranch sold refreshments outside the Opera House.

The show drew a large crowd. Funds from the concert, as well as other concerts throughout the year, will go to maintaining and improving the Opera House. Upcoming shows include a free-will offering performance by The Boys on Apr. 1, a performance by The Mondeau Dukes on Apr. 29, and a show by the G.I.T IMPROV National Improv Comedy Touring Company on May 13.
