SIGOURNEY – On June 27, Sigourney Superintendent Kevin Hatfield and Tim Weber from SitelogIQ gave the Sigourney School Board a tour of the ongoing infrastructure work at the Sigourney Elementary School. After a few weeks of work, contractors have installed the new water heater and two boilers and completed most of the HVAC, piping, and electrical work in the classrooms. Work remaining to be done includes insulating and finishing the ceilings in classrooms, installing the new fire system, getting fire marshall approval, and cleaning the building once work is done. Contractors are planning to have the first phase of the infrastructure done by August 16, when teachers will move back into their classrooms. The project is expected to be 90% done by the end of the summer, with the remaining work finished next summer.
