Theresa Greene

1928-2021

Keswick- Theresa Maxine Greene was born June 1, 1928 in Millersburg the daughter of Milo Rex and Reathal Olive (Seaton) Dansdill. She graduated from Millersburg High School.

On April 14, 1947, Theresa was united in marriage to Frank Joseph Greene at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Millersburg. Theresa was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English, St. Joseph Altar & Rosary Society and the Keswick American Legion. She enjoyed cooking, solving crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Theresa died on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, at the age of 92 years.

She is survived by ten children: James (Janet) of Boise, ID, Patrick of Keswick, Andrew (Kathy) of Keswick, Terrance (Willie) of South English, Mary of What Cheer, Kathy (John) Marner of Iowa City, Beth (Mike) James of Deep River, Frank of Keswick, Steve (Amy) of Millersburg and Richard of Keswick; twenty seven grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild and a brother Murray (Shar) Dansdill of Decorah. She was preceded by her parents; husband in 2010; three sons Francis, Mick & Ed; a granddaughter Amy; and five sisters.

A private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English. Fr. David Wilkening will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sigourney. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers a general memorial fund has been established. Messages and tributes left at Powell Funeral Homes.
