Keota Girls Knocked Out of First Round by WACO

WAYLAND—The Keota Eagles visited the WACO Warriors on February 9 for the first round of the Class 1A-Region 8 bracket. The Eagles were defeated by a final score of 69-31.

The WACO Warriors came out strong as their offense put up 16 first quarter points, while holding the Eagles offense to only two points. By the conclusion of the first half, the Warriors established a 30-12 lead. The Warriors kept up the momentum in the second half as they out-scored the Eagles 39-19 en route to the 69-31 victory. 

The Eagles wrap up their season with a regular season record of 7-15, and a conference record of 6-9.
